Reward offered in Beaufort armed robbery

Beaufort police are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of a man they believed robbed a Beaufort business at gunpoint in May.

Jarod William Laurie, 23, faces an outstanding warrant on armed robbery charges stemming from the May 22 armed robbery of the Advance America Cash Advance business on Robert Smalls Parkway.

Laurie was identified by several people who recognized his photo taken from the store's surveillance video.

Beaufort police said Laurie has a previous conviction for bank robbery and should be considered armed and dangerous.
