Week zero: Battery Creek at Wade Hampton
BATTERY CREEK at WADE HAMPTON
Who: Battery Creek High School (1-10 in 2007; won by forfeit against Fort Dorchester) vs. Wade Hampton High School (2-8 in 2007)
Where: Wade Hampton High School
When: Today, 7:30 p.m.
What's important: No doubt the Dolphins will be amped for the chance to get their first win in three years, but two things are working against them: the weather and site. The predicted damp conditions better suit Wade Hampton's downhill running style, and it never hurts to have homefield advantage. Battery Creek tailback Tavaras Pinckney will get plenty of carries, but look for quarterback Antonio Wiggs to establish a pocket presence early. Also, don't be surprised if the Dolphins stack the box on defense in an effort to slow the Red Devils' rushing attack.
