Vibraphonist Tamburr playing two island shows this weekend
Although he's not yet 30 years old, jazz vibraphonist Christian Tamburr, who performs this weekend on Hilton Head Island, has already amasseda number of career highlights.

[an error occurred while processing this directive]Tamburr first started performing at the age of 14 ; since then he's worked with Ira Sullivan, James Moody, Benny Green, Slide Hampton and Noel Freidline. He's performed as a guest artist with Dave Brubeck and as a solo percussionist with Michael Feinstein, and he spent most of 2007 touring with Julio Iglesias acting as piano accompanist and musical director.
"This is no ordinary talent coming to Hilton Head," said Jazz Lovers of the Lowcountry marketing director Carole Galli.
This time out, Tamburr and his group will also appear at the Jazz Corner on Friday and Saturday evening, as well as on a newly instituted Sunday brunch program. On Sunday night, Tamburr will perform as part of the Jazz Lovers of the Lowcountry's monthly jazz series.
