[an error occurred while processing this directive]Island-based High Tide Entertainment has booked Shelton for Sept. 12 and Skynyrd for Sept. 14. Both shows will take place at Honey Horn.
"We wanted somebody of that status," said Gregg Russell, High Tide president. "We've never had somebody like Skynyrd."
Honey Horn has a capacity of 6,000 people, and Russell hopes for sell-outs. The date of Sept. 13 still is open. That day will be filled if High Tide can find the right act, he said.
Some of the more genteel trappings, mainly the table seating, will be removed for the shows.
"(Skynyrd doesn't) want to play to people eating hors d'oeuvres," Russell said. "They want to play to people who are rocking."
