Graham campaign: Mailing delay contributed to low turnout

When only 30 or so people showed up to $5 Lowcountry boil in Beaufort on Friday sponsored at cost by Sen. Lindsey Graham's campaign, attendees chalked it up to the weather.
But an unexpected mail delay may have been the real culprit for the low turnout at the event where caterers were asked to prepare for 125 people.
Graham's campaign reported Wednesday that it received many calls from Beaufort-area residents who said they received post card invitations to the rally held in Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park days after the event. The campaign had mailed several thousand post cards two weeks in advance.
