•The last day for current sessions of Storytime session, for ages 3 to 7, is at 3 p.m. Monday at the Lobeco Branch of the Beaufort County Library. Sessions will resume Jan. 5.

•The combined Savannah and Beaufort Kennel Clubs dog shows are planned for Thanksgiving weekend.
Two more days of confirmation, obedience and rally trials are from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Monday at L. Scott Stell Community Park, west of Savannah on Bush Road, off GA 204. Events are free to spectators; there is a parking fee. Family pets are not allowed.

•The Beaufort Art Association's Holiday Boutique is now open through Dec. 23.
The Beaufort Art Association Gallery, 1001 Bay St., in the Elliott House, features the works of 80 member artists, including paintings in oil, watercolor and acrylic, works in collage, pastel, photography, glass, jewelry, wood and note cards. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to

•The Senior Training Institute, a free event for Beaufort County senior citizens, is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Burton Wells Recreation Center, 1 Middleton Recreation Drive.
Special guests are Aunt Pearlie Sue and Ms. Senior South Carolina, Dr. Betty Garren. Entertainment will be provided by the Harbormasters Quartet and vocalist Scott Gibbs, of Beaufort.
Fitness activities include The Games Wii Play, Nintendo Wii video game demonstrations and movement for seniors.
A workshop from 10:10 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. will offer prescription medicine education, fraud and identity theft and a second workshop from 10:50 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. offers information on fraud and identity theft, financial planning including wills and trusts and food safety.
Lunch and entertainment is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
A third workshop is from 12:40 p.m. to 1:10 p.m. featuring Reach Out (Alzheimer's Education), prescription medicine education and fire safety for the home.

•The Beaufort Orchestra's 2008-09 concert season continues at 8 p.m. Thursday and at 3 p.m. Dec. 7 with "Voices from Above." This concert will celebrate the holidays features the Lowcountry Children's Chorus at the University of South Carolina Beaufort Performing Arts Center, 801 Carteret St. Season subscriptions are available. CLASSES AND SEMINARS
•Campenella Studio of the Arts is a nonprofit haven where teens can play music and read poetry.
Innovations in Creative Expression for Preschoolers is at 10:30 a.m. Fridays with choreographer Bonita Wreden at the studio. The cost is $10. Hip hop and ballet classes are offered at 10:30 a.m. Saturdays. The cost is $10. Walk-ins are welcome.

•Beaufort Performing Arts is offering classes at The Studio, 1111 Boundary St.
The Studio is part of BPA's expanding educational program. The 2,000-square-foot studio is equipped with a dance floor, mirrors, lighting and sound equipment. Professional dance instructors are offering classes in tap, modern dance, shag and ballet.

•The Public Speaking & Leadership Club meeting is at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Lowcountry Medical Center Community Room, Port Royal.

DEADLINES
•Monday is the final day to register. A panel of four poets will be featured on the University of South Carolina Lunch with Author Series from noon to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Holiday Inn Beaufort, 2225 Boundary St.
Poetry will be the focus on Wednesday. Led by South Carolina Poet Laureate Marjory Wentworth, the panel also will feature Karen Peluso, Carol Ann Davis and Dan Albergotti. Each has a new book out that will be available for purchase.
