Garden club preps for holiday tours
St. Peter's Catholic Church will hold its seventh-annual Homes for the Holidays Tour and Enchanted Garden Gala at 7 p.m. Friday in the Walsh Palmetto Room at the church. The gala will feature heavy hors d'oeuvres and an open bar with a specialty martini bar catered by Granville's of Charleston, an encore performance by the Maxx of Atlanta and a silent auction.
The gala kicks off a two-day tour of seven waterfront homes and gardens from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday.
The homes are on the riverfront bluff of Battery Creek in one of Beaufort's first developed neighborhoods.
Decorators for the tour are: Annie Ballance, ASID; Jim & Peg Neighbors; Liz O'Herron of O'Herron Interiors; Jean Kendall of The Paper Co.; Sheena Jenkins, ASID of SF Jenkins Interiors, Inc.; Margie Fox and Tommy Grigsby of The Garden Gate Nursery; and the Beaufort Council of Garden Clubs.
Tickets, $125 for the gala, $150 for the gala and tour, or $35 for the tour only are available at The Chocolate Tree, Tideland Realty, Bay Street Trading and the Beaufort Chamber of Commerce.

Parking and a shuttle will be available at the Technical College of the Lowcountry on Ribaut Road. All proceeds benefit the St. Peter's Catholic School Endowment Fund.
