Wesley United celebrates anniversary
Wesley United Methodist Church will celebrate its 175th anniversary beginning with three nights of revival at 7 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Julius W. Smith Jr., of Church of the Psalms United Methodist Church.
Wednesday will feature the Rev. Alexander McBride, of First African Baptist of Beaufort, and Thursday will feature the Rev. Curtis Young, of Bethel, Heavens Gate and Trinity United Methodist churches. The event culminates at 10 a.m. Nov. 9. The Rev. Wyatt Minton III will deliver the sermon titled "Rediscovering Our Depths."

Baptist Women's world prayer day returns
The annual Baptist Women's World Day Of Prayer returns with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday. Men, women, boys and girls are invited to join the Baptist Women of Beaufort as they come together in prayer for the world. Dual services will be available for community attendance and participation.

New ministry/women's bible study Sundays
The celebration of the grand opening of All Nations Ministries continues at 10:30 a.m. Sundays and at 7 p.m. Tuesdays, at the Beaufort Holiday Inn, 2225 Boundary St.
All Nations Ministries was founded by Augusta Reed. Reed worked as a speech language pathologist in the Beaufort County School District for three years. She has authored two books: "God's Lady, The Complete Woman" and "More than Just a Woman."

Community prayer breakfast Thursday
Wardle Family YMCA will sponsor a community-wide prayer breakfast at 7 a.m. Thursdayatthe Parish Church of St. Helena (Episcopal) in Beaufort. Jerry Hammett, former University of South Carolina chaplain, will speak.

Methodist men plan shrimp boil Thursday
The Carteret Street United Methodist Church Mens' annual shrimp boil is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church at 408 Carteret St. Meals can be eaten at the church or taken out. Free delivery is provided for lunch only.
The cost is $9 for adults, and $4 for those younger than 12. All proceeds support local charities.
The meal includes boiled shrimp, baked beans, cole slaw, roll, brownie and tea. Details: 843-524-3841.
Benefit for orphans planned Nov. 8
Parishioners Sara and Tom Jackson will host a benefit at 7 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Beaufort Yacht & Sailing Club to support America World Adoption, a Christian organization supporting "An Orphan's Ticket Home" in response to the world's 143 million-plus orphan crisis.
The evening will include food by Steve Brown, spirits, live music and a silent auction.

United Methodist bazaar Nov. 8
Port Royal United Methodist Church will hold its annual fall bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 8.
Baked goods, plants, books, clothes and good junk will be sold. Games for kids, crafts, toys, a doll house and a quilt will also be featured.
