Habitat house cuts ribbon today

A ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon today will open the doors for the latest LowCountry Habitat for Humanity house at 1306 Congress St. in Beaufort.

Homeowner Ralph Wilson is moving back into his completely refurbished home in the city of Beaufort's Block-by-Block program. Habitat for Humanity renovated home in the Northwest Quadrant.

Volunteer labor also was provided by nonprofits Mission Serve and Group Workcamps.

Administered by LowCountry Habitat for Humanity, the Block-by-Block program has repaired and refurbished over 40 homes in the Northwest Quadrant and will complete all projects by Dec. 31, 2008.
