A two-vehicle crash Wednesday night near the Technical College of the Lowcountry on Ribaut Road sent two drivers to Beaufort Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries, the Beaufort Fire Department said.

The crash about 5:15 p.m. involved a 2008 Chevrolet Cavalier and a 2005 Honda Civic. The Civic was “heavily damaged” in the crash and the southbound lane of Ribaut Road was closed for more than 30 minutes as firefighters assisted the injuries and cleared the road.
