Production crews will be in town today to shoot footage of a Lady's Island community that will be featured in a Travel Channel segment dealing with mixed-use communities.

Celadon, which is made up of 89 residential lots, 10 commercial lots, a full-service community center and spa and E.C. Montessori School on 40 acres between Sams Point and Little Capers roads, is a neighborhood that falls under the neo-traditional or new-urbanistic heading that's much in vogue.
The community was planned by Florida-based Duany-Plater Zybeck, which also designed Habersham in Burton and New Point, also on Lady's Island.
Celadon is being developed by Dennis Green, who moved to Beaufort after retiring from his post as chief auditor for Citicorp and Citibank.
Like other developments that boast a new-urbanistic plan, Green said Celadon's strengths are its mix of residential and commercial uses and its proximity to city services.
"With gas as it is, people like the idea that they can walk to do some things," he said.
Green said the Travel Channel piece will profile Celadon as a "a mixed-use community and as a lifestyle ... We have amenities that are very similar to a resort."
Construction of Celadon began in 2003, and now has four families living in the community and several other lots have been sold. Green said there are contracts on other lots that he expects to soon close.
"The market's been a very difficult market, but we've seen more traffic and more traffic from people who are interested," he said. "A lot of people didn't know what was here. They knew the school was here, but they didn't go beyond that."
An air date for the Travel Channel segment hasn't been scheduled.
