Leadership Beaufort Class of 2009 named

The Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce has named the 24th Leadership Beaufort Class. Leadership Beaufort connects participants with prominent leaders as part of a 10-month program. It will run until May 2009.

Participants include:

■ Jeanne Bellew, owner, Lowcountry Caffinos

■ Richard Brooks, co-editor, Beaufort Today

■ Russell Byrd, project development planner, City of Beaufort

■ Roxanne Davis-Cote, clinical nutrition manager, Beaufort Memorial Hospital

■ Bruce Doneff, public relations and marketing consultant

■ Deb Duer, construction contractor

■ Laura Eggers, EMRY Restaurants

■ Christa Emminger, training consultant and instructor

■ Betty Garren, Master of Arts Teaching Program director, University of South Carolina Beaufort

■ Catherine Hipp, tourism marketing manager, Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce

■ Maria Landry, executive director, Alzheimer's Family Services of Greater Beaufort

■ Geri Lester-Baldasare, community health and chronic disease prevention director, S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control

■ Mackenzie McGrew, Community Outreach director, Technical College of the Lowcountry

■ Bill Peratta, principal planner, Town of Bluffton

■ Capt. Mike Toth, legal assistance officer, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island
